I first met Barbara in 2015. At that point I had owned my condo (L’Hermitage) in Fort Lauderdale as a winter home since 2002-2003. I am a Canadian living in Toronto. I felt that it needed a total “refresh” and was very pleased with the new look she achieved for me. She is excellent with introducing new colours and with blending them with what is already there. Over the last nine years I have found her to be very professional and someone I can trust to do what she says she will do.

A major project she did for me quite recently (2022-2023), was to renovate my kitchen on her own as I could not be there myself. It turned out beautifully with little if any stress for me. She kept in constant contact with pictures, texts, phone calls and gave me the ability to speak directly with the contractors who did the actual work. I will most definitely work with her again and gladly refer her to others.

Barbara Brickell is amazing!   We have used her to renovate several times and she has done a wonderful job.   She did our Penthouse in New Jersey with a 2500 square foot space and it is gorgeous.  Her patience, her willingness to listen and understand what you are looking for is a breath of fresh air.   From her initial meeting you know this person is experienced and knows what she is doing.   Her pricing is fair and worth every dollar.

We then used her for a full renovation on a ski home in Vermont and she took the house from a 1970's chalet to a 21st century Vermont ski home, just incredible.  She travelled there on her own and did all the shopping onsite to facilitate the process.  She is priceless and I would recommend her 100%   you are missing out otherwise.

When I purchased my new home a few months ago, I knew there were some areas I wanted to improve. After speaking with potential interior designers, I felt Barbara @ Barbara Brickell Designs was very much in tune with what I wanted for more space. She also shared other great ideas that would greatly enhance it.

Barbara did a fantastic job for us, under very difficult conditions. Her design concepts were exactly what we were looking for. Her attention to detail over a fairly long time span (fourteen months) was much appreciated. Despite significant delays in deliveries, products that were promised and then unavailable, a horrific misstep by one of our subs that resulted in sizable damages to our condominium building, and a skeptical building and board oversight, the final product exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a great designer and collaborative partner on your project, Barbara is a real pro. This project included new flooring, paint, lighting throughout, wallpaper, complete kitchen overhaul, new furnishings in every room and accent pieces.

We have collaborated with Barbara and her team on several successful projects.  She is a true professional and always reliable.  We look forward to working together again.

Barbara Brickell Designs is an absolutely wonderful interior decorator. It took me several months of searching for an interior decorator before I found Barbara.  Most interior decorators only design for  high end properties but Barbara designs for both high end properties and yachts while also amenable to small projects. Thank goodness!  Barbara has a depth of experience and knows how to listen to the client.  She took all of my comments and added her knowledge to come up with a design, furniture and accessories that were within my budget of $10,000.

Barbara gives you choices so if you want to spend a little more or a little less in one area you have options. My explicit desire was to have a blue accent wall downstairs. I LOVE my blue accent walls.  Barbara chose a blue color that added a WOW factor when you walked into the home.  Barbara managed the whole project, coordinated the furniture delivery, painters and electricians. She even made trips to several stores to pick up items.  She incorporated almost all of my accessories and paintings in the final design.  She is a perfectionist and goes more than the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. She decorated and accessorized the living room, dining room, power room completely  while selecting paint colors for all rooms and hanging paintings in every room  of the house (3 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths).

While the final cost was slightly less than $10,000 I feel the value of the home increased by more than $10,000. I am absolutely thrilled with all of Barbara's work which only took 4 days of actually working in my home.  Barbara is quick and efficient and, above all, you can completely trust her judgment.  If you are looking for an interior designer you will be very pleased with Barbara Brickell Designs.
